Organisation(s) / Author(s): Oasis Loss Modelling Framework
Description
The Oasis Loss Modelling Framework (LMF) is a free to use platform for running and developing catastrophe models that does not impose restrictions on the modelling approach. Its development has largely been driven by the (re)insurance sector but it has applications in multiple sectors.
The framework has three main components:
- Oasis Platform – the catastrophe modelling system.
- Oasis User Interface (UI)
- Oasis Model Development Kit (MDK) – tools for creating models to be used in the Oasis Platform
Oasis models are catalogued in the Oasis Model Library.
According to the Oasis LMF, the main users are model developers, risk analysts, and enterprise risk systems at (re)insurance organisations.
