Who can Contribute to Disaster Risk Gateway?
Disaster Risk Gateway content is created and edited by its users. The aim of the wiki is to act as a knowledge base of multi-hazard (risk) approaches and resources that is owned, grown and maintained by a community of contributors and editors. Anyone with relevant knowledge – from researchers and practitioners to educators and students – can create or edit pages once they have registered for a user account.

Add a new approach in three easy steps
- Type the title of your new page into the Search box in the banner at the top of the page. This should be the title of the approach you are adding.
- This will open up a search results page which will state that there are no results for the text you typed. Below this you will see the text: 'Create the page "TITLE OF YOUR NEW PAGE" on this wiki'.
- Right click on the 'TITLE OF YOUR NEW PAGE' (which will appear red as a page that does not exist yet), and select 'Open link in new tab'. This will create the page with an editor window, ready for you to add content to.
The easiest way to add content is to use the template below. That way you do not have to worry about formatting.
Template

'''Year of publication''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Access''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Link''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Organisation(s) / Author(s)''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Description''' ADD TEXT HERE '''Technical considerations''' ADD TEXT HERE '''Keywords''' ADD TEXT HERE Back to '''[[Multi-hazard Risk Assessment|Multi-hazard Risk Assessment]]'''

- Click on the tab which has 'Create a page' open. Expand Step 2 - Add content to your new page
- Select and copy everything in the template box, including the formatting.
- Navigate back to your new page by either by clicking on the tab with your new page open, or by typing the title in the search box, and clicking on your new page title.
- Paste the copied text into the editing window of your new page, and replace where it says ADD TEXT HERE with your own. Please be as detailed as possible. Please note, you should not have to make any changes to the formatting. To view an example of a completed page see here
