Create a page
Add a new approach in three easy steps:
- Type the title of your new page into the Search box in the banner at the top of the page. This should be the title of the approach you are adding.
- This will open up a search results page which will state that there are no results for the text you typed. Below this you will see the text: 'Create the page "TITLE OF YOUR NEW PAGE" on this wiki'.
- Right click on the 'TITLE OF YOUR NEW PAGE' (which will appear red as a page that does not exist yet), and select 'Open link in new tab'. This will create the page with an editor window, ready for you to add content to.
The easiest way to add content is to use the New page template. That way you do not have to worry about formatting. The template is also available in the box below:
Template

'''Year of publication''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Access''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Link''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Organisation(s) / Author(s)''': ADD TEXT HERE '''Description''' ADD TEXT HERE '''Technical considerations''' ADD TEXT HERE '''Keywords''' ADD TEXT HERE Back to '''[[Wikithon 8th March (10:00-14:00 GMT)|Wikithon home page]]'''

- Click on the tab which has 'Create a page' open. Expand Step 2 - Add content to your new page
- Select and copy everything in the template box, including the formatting.
- Navigate back to your new page by either by clicking on the tab with your new page open, or by typing the title in the search box, and clicking on your new page title.
- Paste the copied text into the editing window of your new page, and replace where it says ADD TEXT HERE with your own. Please be as detailed as possible. Please note, you should not have to make any changes to the formatting. To view an example of a completed page see here

During the wikithon, there are two ways you can publish new pages. You can either publish in the Practice publishing page first (link at the bottom of this page), then when you feel comfortable, publish on the main site either under Multi-hazard Risk Assessment or Multi-hazard Risk Management. Or, if you are comfortable using a wiki, you can skip the Practice publishing step and publish directly in the Disaster Risk Gateway main pages.
- Practice publishing:
- Navigate to Practice publishing by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
- Click the Edit icon in the top banner of the page.
