Description:
DAPP-MR (Dynamic Adaptive Policy Pathways for Multi-Risk) is a tailored extension of the DAPP approach (Haasnoot et al. 2013) designed to support Disaster Risk Management (DRM) in complex, multi-hazard, and multi-sector systems. By introducing iterative stages into the standard DAPP process, DAPP-MR enables the analysis of interactions, trade-offs, and synergies across sectors and hazards. It provides a structured yet flexible framework to progressively integrate knowledge regarding interactions between hazards and/or sectors and guide the development of adaptive DRM pathways under uncertainty. It offers a set of guiding questions that help integrate the complexity as part of the original publication's appendix. It has been applied as an analytical framework in a quantitative case study and a set of qualitative case studies.
